Edit: Looking at this again, it kind of looks like I left out a leg. But I'm not sure where I would've put it anyway. Maybe that's what he's contemplating.

I was thinking the same thing actually... I like to think the same man who chopped down that tree, took a swing at the old man's right leg.

If this guy existed in the real world then his right leg wouldn't be seen from this angle, so you were right not to draw it. Was this guy for a particular project or just another silly doodle? Regardless it's awesome!
You're right, which is probably why I only drew the one visible leg. I just realized after the fact that he looked kind of funny. One of those things where you can't win either way....and yes, just another silly late-night doodle.
I'm thinking his leg is actually stuck in that there stump. Maybe that's why he seems unamused.
Just add a thought bubble with an amputated leg, bleeding on the ground.
