I just watched John Hubley's Moonbird and was completely drawn in by the childrens' expressive eyes. A lot of the time they form into these teardrop shapes, darting back and forth. So, brimming with inspiration I created this crazy kid.
Thanks, David! I've been trying to push my self with color and design lately. On design---pushing a little spring and energy into poses and expressions. And playing with color to emphasize energy (or lack there of).

Call me nuts, the eyes are great, but my favorite thing here is the feet! They made me laugh. Also, your color sense is very cool.

Man what a great cartoon, Hubley is definitely easy to be influenced by. Great character design here, the eyes are superb!
