Be prepared.

Whenever I try get folks to move to Boston, it often boils down to "but it's too cold" and "what do you mean winter can last 5 months?" First of all, there are much colder places than Boston: Maine. I a grew up there, so a Massachusetts winter is nothing. That said, it's a bit of a right of passage for newcomers to make it through their first winter.

The Improper Bostonian asked me to draw a cartoon to help folks prepare. On streets now, even though it was a balmy 55 today. Pfft! You call this December? 62 tomorrow? Good thing "Rudolph" is on right now, or I wouldn't know.

Fun illo! If you think people are wusses about cold weather in Boston, try visiting Texas. The second we get below 60 degrees people start acting like they're right out of "The Day After Tomorrow".

It topped 70 today in Boston. Crazy!

Glad you all got a kick out of it. Put it to use if you're from a colder climate.

Great colors, man.

And David DeGrand is actually right about cold temperatures in Texas. People in San Antonio got really hyped for the "snow flurries" that never happened last week.

I really like this one especially the 200$ in case of snow emergency that always gets people. I'm from Minnesota the land of ice and snow so this one hits home with me.

I go to WashU and I'm taking Doug's class next semester and I just wanted to say I really like your work!
